Installation of a Software Release (Windows edition)

The installation of a release consists of first installing the prerequisite components such as the database, the application server, and a Java JDK and then installing an instance of the OpenEMPI software. To install an OpenEMPI binary release simply follow the steps in the sequence shown below.

The instructions focus on the installation of a software release on a Windows computer. Although we prefer Linux machines for production deployment of OpenEMPI, it works fine on Windows as well and we demonstrate that through the installation instructions below.
