The HAPI TestPanel is a full featured HL7 message editor, transmitter and receiver and can be used as client tool to test the OpenEMPI PIX/PDQ server.  HAPI TestPanel 2.0.1 can be downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/projects/hl7api/files/hapi-testpanel/2.0.1/

 

OpenEMPI PIX server sending connection can be configured as port 3600 and PDQ server sending connection can be configured as port 3700.

The sending message can be loaded into HAPI TestPanel by open a text file.  The following shows the PIXFeedCheckPIDA01.hl7 is loaded into the Message Tree tab in HAPI TestPanel.

 

By clicking the Send button.  The sending message and responding message will show on the Sending tab in HAPI TestPanel. The following shows the two messages in PIXFeedCheckPIDA01.hl7 are sent out to and received response back from the OpenEMPI PIX server.
